text: "Ethics and Moral Reasoning: A Student's Guide" by Ben Mitchell Amazon Link $15.99 Chapters Link $10.46 Session 1- will look at a values based ethics (precept, principles and person of God) Session 2- looking at Paul’s ethical decision making Practicum- Do you attend your nieces gay wedding? (Ken and I would have different end points but use similar reasoning to reach that end. The focus will not be on a right or wrong answer but helping students identifying what values are driving their ethical decision making). Assignment- A modern ethical question prior to this module please submit to the Barnabas email a statement to the instructor confirming that you have completed your pre-read. Failure to read the required reading will result in a grade deduction. |
